The Club & Club History
All new Members are greeted by a committee member to show them around and answer their questions. We have sections for men, ladies, seniors, colts and juniors and our competition diary includes regular roll-ups, stablefords and medals with events both during the week and at the weekends.
The History
Waterlooville Golf Club was established in 1907 as a 9 hole golf course with a membership of 31 men and 4 ladies.
The initial course comprised of 52 acres of land rented from Mr W. J. Borrow with additional land being purchased in 1946 to increase the length of the holes and extend the course. Some of the existing land was incorporated into the course in 1962 to become the 10th and 11th holes.
The course, as it currently exists, was designed by the late Sir Henry Cotton, a three-time Open Championship Winner.
As part of our more recent history, we were delighted to have been chosen to host the England Women’s County Finals in September 2016.
