Tax – Will you be ready for the new digital tax regime?
Making Tax Digital is coming. It was first announced in 2015 by the Government. Since then we have seen delays to the initial timescale. Under the new timescale, the first group to be directly affected will be VAT Registered businesses with turnover above the VAT threshold, starting from 1 April 2019.
New software will be required to comply. However, with only 8 months left, this has not yet been released.
Individuals will join “Making Tax Digital” but, currently, not before 1 April 2020.
